Are Captions Turned On?
If you lock your iPhone or leave the app, Captions may automatically be turned off.
Tap this icon to turn on and off Captions:

- Sometimes it helps to turn captions off and back on, if Apple’s built in speech recognition is taking a while to start in the background.
It’s also possible that the app did not get your permission to use the microphone. Check like this:
How to Allow Microphone and Caption Permission
1. Go to the iOS Settings App
2. Go to Privacy & Security
3. Select Microphone
4. Scroll down, find and enable SpiritDataPro or SpiritData
Make sure the switch is green and flipped to the right.
5. Go Back
6. Select Speech Recognition
7. Scroll down, find and enable SpiritDataPro or SpiritData
Make sure the switch is green and flipped to the right.
You may also have to go back one more time and enable Camera Permission if you also have a blank screen and see no live video.
